Size down .5-1 from most name-brand sneaker sizes unless you want extra room for thicker socks.These boots are not yet fully broken in and still have many years of life. Recommend cleaning with hand soap and warm water, then apply oil generously and let it sit on the leather for several hours before wiping clean. I have been using regular mink oil.Soles show virtually no wear except on the corner of the heel. Small cursive inscription of previous owner on the lip, can be removed with gentle abrasion and reburnishing.
