Pre-Owned Alden Indy boots, purchased new from The Stronghold at retail. These are not factory seconds or discounted. They have not been worn since taking the photos.These are Trubalance last boots and run a half to a full size larger. I normally wear 8D and was in between 7 and 7.5. Took the smaller size for a tight fit. These are new Alden 403 Indy Boots: brown, chromexcel leather, size (US) 9.5 D, never worn, w/ box and Alden boot sleeves. Useful information:The benefit of buying brand new Alden boots or shoes over previously owned and worn ones is that Aldens are made with spreadable cork under the leather insole. This is to quickly create footbeds that uniquely develop a molded fit and support for one's feet. New Aldens are instantly comfortable right out of the box and become even more so over time because of this.As someone who has bought used Aldens before, I definitely noticed the difference immediately. Sometimes, depending on the previous owner's embedded footbed, used Aldens may never fit nor feel comfortable. The footbed never quite shifts to mold comfortably to new feet. The overriding benefit of Alden's quality of material, craftmanship and classic all american-made look is that it results in a high quality of fit, feel and orthopedic support. (I have owned a lot of boots. Aldens are hands down the winner for support and comfort.) And typical resoles do not fix this issue for second-hand Aldens. For example: the $199 Alden restoration deliberately maintains the shape of the footbed without exception.I have been messaged asking why I am selling these if I like Adens so much. I have a very comfy, 10-yr old pair of Indys, and I received two new pairs of Indys for Christmas. I will keep one new pair for the future and with the money from this sell, I will have my John Lofgren boots resoled, which is very expensive.New 403s presently cost between $655 (the ShoeMart) and $855 (Nordstroms) plus applicable taxes and so forth. And if history is any indicator,  Alden will raise its prices this summer when the new Indiana Jone's movie comes out.Look at my rating. I am a straight up, honest broker.
